i have UR10 universal robot to pick small round plastic part (28 mm in diameter& 18mm high ) which has rectangler slot in centre of it and gets fed by vibration bowl feeder to the same picking point , due to round shape that rectagle might be in diffirent orientation to the tool that is on the robot arm, my question is , can wrist camera look at the part and orient it self to the part so when it goes down on the part end of the tool fits into the slot and picks it..any one who has done smillar application , i would appriciate some input ..thanks
Hi @Kaan,What is the size of the rectangle on the part? You could use the parametric teaching method and teach the rectangle instead of the round shape. This way you'll be able to pick the part relative to its rectangular slot.
