Hi @armormodeller,
Here are my answers to your questions:
1- No, you can not manually control the LEDs of the wrist camera.
2- Yes, the camera will detect spacing between parts. The real challenge might be picking parts that are too close to each other though.
3- From the gripper's toolbar, if you set the speed lower, the position leaps will be smaller.
4- The vision system will easily detect a rotation of the part. But to detect a reflection of the same part, that would have to be done in a different cam locate node. In other words, you would have to teach every possible face of your part.
We will take your questions and comments into consideration for improvements on our products.
I'm throwing this out to the world for solutions.
Is there a way to turn off the auto exposure? The reason is that the parts we are trying to pick up are on a dark green background and the part resolution is being washed out.
Is there an ability for the camera to detect spacing between parts?
Is there a way to fine tune the gripper editing so that it doesn’t make large leaps in the percentile?
When the grippers come into grab a part, what is the repeat ability of the part orientation when picking?
