hi experts,my gripper shutoff in the middle of the program that causes the program to stop(freeze), it did happen couple of times. Any thoughts? Regards
Hi @mfadrigalan,I just opened a support ticket for this issue. We will address it via email with you to know what is going on.
Had the same issue several times. Found that if I wasn't careful with routing of the wire you can break a wire in the harness. This will cause an intermittent break. Robotiq has changed their wire type to a higher flexibility. I also found that I needed to be careful about how I attached the harness to the robot. I haven't had any issues since changing the wire and making sure it had full range of motion. Hope this helps.
You can check to see if it's broke by wiggling the wire when the robot stops, if it responds most likely have an intermittent break. Agree with @BeachChE that routing is critical to prevent this. The higher flex cable helps but can still happen.
