Hi all,
we know that the Teach-Pendant cable is cumbersome, I think the rigidity of this cable is enought high. What do you think about that?
I was thinking about a wireless solution or a cable more flexible, I mean I still don't know how to handle the situation, I would like to know your opinions.
What do you think about it? Do you already any solution?

I believe that the first question to ask is, "Why did UR engineers think that they needed such a heavy cable?" The only logical reason is that there are "immediate mode" operations that do not require the PC which are electrically connected to the cobot drive system. So, instead of sending a signal to the PC to job the joint motors or to release the brake, the pendant has a direct, wired connection to those functions. Why would one want the teaching pendant to also be a remote controller?0 · TwitterFacebook
