We are having an issue where after our robots are powered off, only some of them will reconnect automatically after powering back on. If the IP address and the Ethernet has be set up before, shouldn't they reconnect on power up? If I walk around and hit the connect button they all connect just fine.
Hi @abeachy_HG24 !Can you give more details on your setup? What robots are you using? Which end effector are installed on them?
Sorry, we are using UR10s. Out of the 30, probably less than half were connected upon power up. We are using a combination of robotiq 85 and 140. All of the robots have had the ethernet and IP address setup before. Do you know where the IP address gets saved? Is it saved in a installation file?
The only time I have seen that occur is when the ethernet cord is not actually plugged in or the switch/router that they are connected to is not broadcasting. If there is no traffic on the port at boot up the system sets the IP address to 0.0.0.0, I think though as soon as you plug in the ethernet you get the correct setting but I would have to test that to be sure. We turn our demo robot on and off all the time and as long as it is connected never have any issues, same with the robots deployed in the field. You may want to check your network hardware if they are always plugged in and you are seeing this issue
