I connected FT150 to my UR5 and i get all the forces right with \'test_Sensor\' program on Polyscope. Thing is, when I instal all Windows software and run \'driverSensor.exe\' I only get black screen. Why is that? Thank you a lot.

In order to help you, we would need a little more information. When you say that you are trying to install the Windows software, are you trying to install this on your PC? If so what version of Windows are you running? Note that the drivers for UR and for a PC are not the same. You can download all drivers from our support webpage.And find the installation procedure of the developpement package for windows in the manual, section 4 : http://support.robotiq.com/display/FTS/4.1.2+Windows. I need to read sensor data from my C# script, is there a way i could do that? Write to a file or directly read it? I'm new to programming and I working on a project. Yes you can do that, you could export data to a CSV file or read it directly... If you have successfully installed the dev package SDP-1.0.1 you should have those variables available. When you compile as-is and run, you should have all variables (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz) updating real-time and ready to use. I would recommend you to just copy the provided program and add your instructions.

I assume you downloaded the ft150 dev package on the support web site. Is that right? If you look at the rq_sensor_state.c file, you will find the function rq_sensor_state which updates a state machine that manages the communication with the sensor. At some point, the function rq_com_listen_stream (in the file rq_sensor_com.c) is called. This function is responsible to read the stream of forces and moments from the sensor and to store it in an array. But what you are trying to do might not be the fastest way to get data from the sensor. If you only want to read the forces and use it in an application, I suggest that you use the driver that runs on the UR. This driver opens a tcp socket on port 65531. If you connect on this port you will get a continuous flow of force/torque vector. You can easily test this with putty or realterm. First you have to connect your ur robot on the same network of your computer. You can use the command ping to make sure your computer sees the robot. Then launch putty or realterm and establish a connection on port 63351 of the robot. You should see the vectors streaming. To set the ip address of the UR, you have to press on the setup button on the ur teach pendant. Of course I don't know what your application is so I'm not sure if that suits your needs. Regards.
