As you may have noticed, our new Robotiq Wrist Camera comes with a high-flex cable. Following the launch of this new product, we have decided to make the switch to high-flex cables for all our products, to eliminate cable-related issues we’ve had in the past. The switch for existing products will be gradual, and we expect all products to ship with a high-flex cable by mid-September.Should you need more information, contact your application engineer.
@Olivier_Grenier will there be a retro-fit kit to upgrade existing products in the field? This is an area of concern for us in the field as we have had failures in the past and worry about it now.
@matthewd92 we had no plans for something like a recall, if you have anything under warranty that you think could be a problem contact me and we will update your cables. So far it has only been an issue for customers running maximum speed in some specific applications. The "normal" cable still goes for much more then the warrantied period if you have proper cable management.
@Etienne_Samson I meant would we be able to purchase these new assemblies so we can upgrade our grippers, not so much as a recall.
Yup that is possible, CBL-COM-2066-10-HF will get you the 10 meters in high flex and CBL-COM-2066-01 will get you the pigtail assembly, including the connector PCB.
