The wrist connector for the e-Series robot will not work on the CB3 robot because this robot model does not support a full RS485 communication through its wrist connector.
To control your Robotiq gripper from a CB3 robot, you will either need the CB connection to the robot controller(10-meter cable) or the IO coupling for CB that will also connect to the wrist of the CB but will use the IOs as triggers instead of RS485 communication. This last option will require a different URCap also available on our support website. Your Robotiq product distributor may help you get either connection.

I can't start a gripper ( normally used on a UR10e) on a UR3 (cb3)
