Universal controller are programmed to work with only one communication protocol.
First you have to make sure you universal controller is EthernetIP.

If your universal controller is not EthernetIP please let me know the type of controller you have.

I am trying to control a 2F-85 Robotiq gripper using TwinCat on my laptop, it is a Beckhoff PLC software, I am trying to send Modbus RTU commands through the USB/485 converter, but TwinCat doesn't seem to send anything to the USB port. Beckhoff support informed me that this setup is not supported.
Has anyone used the Robotiq Universal Controller to communicate on different protocole ? I was thinking about EthernetIP, but the EDS files are not available, so I was wondering how the mapping could be done
Any suggestion is very welcome
