Hello,

We're unable to communicate with our gripper.

We've tried with our table stand coupling(AGC-CPL-062-002) and with FTS-coupling(AGC-CPL-FTSENSOR), with later one Gripper will power on, and shows shows red light constantly.
With table stand led stays off, so there might be some other issues with it. USB-RS485 converter is randomly blinking red led slowly, but mostly staying off.

I'll try to do a bit more troubleshooting to see if I can connect to gripper somehow and/or rule out faulty components.
Hoping to hear from you soon, as we're setting up our next fair demo with these products and third party software...

    Hello,
    I partially solved this.
Connection seems to be working with AGC-CPL-FTSENSOR, but with AGC-CPL-062-002 it won't work.

We'll do more troubleshooting with it later on.

Would it be possible to get pinout charts for 2F's base connector? I could beep that cable/coupling with multimeter if it's ok or not.

Probable cause of those connection issues is due to slight oxidation in connection surfaces, as those demo kits have been stored in garage which is just some degrees (3-8) above zero degrees celsius at winter.

    Hello Étienne,
We've been using FTS150 and 2F-85 in our demo buildup successfully.
But yes, we tested also the AGC-CPL-062-002 today and it seems to work correctly.

Issues were caused just by oxidation, so you may consider this as Solved. :)

    Hi there,
The attached PDF as the pin-out on the pigtail connector with spring pins, it match to the Gripper.

It is probable that you have some oxydation, I had to clean my demo kit spring pins with alcool pads quite a few time.

    Hi, @Etienne_Samson

We have a client with a gripper that the LED is not light up.
The  "pigtail" has been changed and still the same. chequing pins and we have voltage between pins (GND) & (VON), but between (GND) & (24V) does not have tension.

    Is this normal?

@Enric your measurements are normal, there will be no tension between GND and 24V until you have a plugged in the Gripper, this is meant to protect the spring pins connections from sparking. Maybe we have an electronic problem within the Gripper.

If you mount the Gripper on the coupling and measure tension on the other side, what do you get ?

    @Etienne_Samson
How to check if we have an electronic problem of the gripper?.

If I mount the Gripper on the coupling and measure tension on the other side.
I must be tension between pins GND and 24V?

    Thanks

@Enric yes when the Gripper is mounted on the coupling, you will be able to probe between 24V and GND. When no Gripper is mounted they will always show no tension.

Otherwise you could use a second Gripper and a second Coupling to switch them and see if you can isolate the source of the problem.

The problem is in the gripper. Next step? We can receive the PCB?

@Enric yes, I opened a ticket to track this, we can send you the PCB assembly that you can change yourself since you had the training or just send us the Gripper by RMA for repair over here. I'll let you choose.
