The robot payload is often very important to take in consideration in your application. The End-Of-Arm tooling is important to consider as it can reduce considerably your robot payload. Here are the approximate weight of each Robotiq products:2 Finger Gripper 85: 850g2 Finger Gripper 140: 1000g3 Finger Gripper: 2.3kgFT-150: 650gFT-300: 300gCamera: 160gSo when defining your application, you must remove the tooling weight from your robot payload and add a safety factor to ensure the best reliability of your application.Hope this helps!
@Catherine_Bernier Can you also give the offsets for the center of gravity of the different products? Also if possible even the center of gravity of combined products (gripper and FT sensor, Gripper and camera kit, etc.)?
@Catherine_Bernier I just got the same question from @eric and a similar question regarding the TCP position.
@Catherine_Bernier I know this post is a little while back but can you share center of gravity along with payload value if you have 1-2 or 3 Robotiq products installed. @Annick_Mottard maybe you can give a hint on this!
@Sebastien We just updated sections of the online instruction manuals for the FT sensors, the 2-Finger Gripper and the Wrist Camera. Refer to the Mechanical Specifications section - located within the Specifications section. It contains the mass and center of mass position for different Robotiq products combinations. The axes are the same as a UR robot tool flange's axis system.
@Annick_Mottard I don't see those values/specifications anywhere. I looked at the FT sensor, the gripper and the camera specification PDF. Is that the right place?
@Grady_Turner I should indeed have been more specific : they are in the online versions of the gripper's, sensors' and camera's instruction manuals.
The robot payload is often very important to take in consideration in your application. The End-Of-Arm tooling is important to consider as it can reduce considerably your robot payload.
Here are the approximate weight of each Robotiq products:
- 2 Finger Gripper 85: 850g
- 2 Finger Gripper 140: 1000g
- 3 Finger Gripper: 2.3kg
- FT-150: 650g
- FT-300: 300g
- Camera: 160g
So when defining your application, you must remove the tooling weight from your robot payload and add a safety factor to ensure the best reliability of your application.Hope this helps!
