Hi
I'm trying to communicate with the controller though Ethernet/IP connection, however all my attempt were unsuccessful. I even try installing the user interface legacy (v 1.0.6).
I figured out that there is no connection whatsoever though the Ethernet port of my Desktop though control panel --> networks and Internet --> network and sharing center. Which doesn't show the any Ethernet connection. I even try to use different cable and cmd prompt "ping 192.168.1.11" but fail.
However I can connect and used the gripper using the USB to USB port. Could it be that the Ethernet port is faulty?
Regards

Thanks for the information, from those screenshots your Gripper seems to be configured for DeviceNet, not for EtherNet IP.

Hi,
Can you send me screenshot of your Robotiq User Interface connected via USB, especially the communication protocol tab.
Thanks

Hi Etienne
From user interface V 1.0.6 (legacy) with USB connection and from user interface v1.5.3.
Which means that i can only use the DeviceNET communication protocol for the unit i have, if i refer to 3.4.2 of the manuel
Just for info, why each controller has to have a specific type of communication protocol, would not it be more flexible if the user could configure it for the different use of the gripper.
It would me more flexible yes, but since they have a different physical interface, the number of parts in each controller would be augmented and the price would go up significantly. Since most customer use only one protocol, we choose to have a single protocol (plus USB).
