Good afternoon My colleague is currently on site trying install a 2F85 gripper on a UR5 robot and he is having some issues. He has mounted the gripper and connected to the controller as per the instructions. When he goes to power up the gripper from the dash board on the UR teach pendant the light on the gripper turns from Blue to Flashing Blue/Red and will not power up…?? Do you have any suggestions as to why this is happening.??

Hi , I think we will need to wire to a PC using the USB converter and the Robotiq User Interface. This software will allow you to active & control the Gripper. You should also see an associated fault code to that blinking red/blue LED by going to view --> input registers and checking the byte "fault status". Can you check that and tell me what you get ? If you could also let me know the Gripper serial number (it's under the Gripper, you need to remove the coupling to see it, C-XXXX). Thanks !

Good afternoon Etienne I have got the gripper back and solved the problem. My colleague had put the locating dowel pin in place and it was protruding up too far preventing the gripper body connecting to the pigtail coupling properly..!! Thanks for your help.
