Hello DoF community!
I'm new, got my UR5e and Hand-E gripper last week. Currently the rubber fingers are 2 inches wide (open) I need the grippers to go as wide as 4.5 - 5 inches. My idea is to ad 1.5 inch extensions to each finger. It wouldn't be able to close completely but thats ok for my purposes. Any thoughts and ideas would be grateful. I was thinking I could get these extensions 3D printed maybe.

Is there a part number so it's easier to find for my rep?

    As Yannik said:
This part can be ordered with this number: HND-TIP-EXT-KIT

I apologize for reviving an old thread but do you think you could give me a part number of this finger? I looked through Fingertips Offering catalog and didn't see it.

    Thank you!

Here below is the link to download our fingertip catalogue:
    https://assets.robotiq.com/website-assets/support_documents/document/Offering_20FingertipsF_FE2020_F_20200313.pdf

The following items are necessary to replicate the same setup:
    • HND-TIP-EXT-KIT Finger extender kit
    • AGC-TIP-MLD-KIT-85 Flat rubber overmolded fingertip kit
The finger our your picture is the old version of the overmolded fingertip. It has been discontinued. This is why you cannot find it in our catalogue.
We may have some in stock if you need them.
The reference is: AGC-TIP-204-085 Flat Silicone Fingertip for 2F-85-V4

Thank you! I am running this for CNC tending application and I have issues with parts actually sticking to overmolded fingers. The silicone ones we got don't seem to stick but they can't be used with extender kit so once I saw this picture I wanted to order those.

Aluminum fingers are also running well. I wanted to get a decent collection of fingers as parts we run change all the time and I am pretty new to this.  I'll try to see if we can still get any stock leftovers just in case.

    Best,
    Alex

There are silicone fingers for Hande and for the 2F.
You probably have Hande silicone fingers however they do not fit on the extender.
Only 2F fingers can be mounted on the extender.

Not sure if it is a good recommendation but you could eventually change the surface aspect of the overmolded finger to avoid sticking effect.
