I have been having trouble getting URsim working and after installing different versions I realized that the install.sh script has been deleting my ROS-melodic packages (see attached photo) so that ROS has to be reinstalled to work. Is this common? I have installed the URsim on ubuntu 16.04 with ros kinetic with no problems but with ubuntu 18.04 and melodic it seems to have a lot of issues. Is there anyway of avoiding interference with my ROS install while installing URsim?

    Hi,

From my knowledge, the Robotiq package is developed for the "kinetic" distribution. As there is no package directly developed for "ROS-melodic packages".

    This may explain the incompatibility.

I will leave deeper explanation for more experienced ROS users.

    Regards.
