Hi pros, 

I'm a complete newb that has little to no idea about UR5 and programming.
I'm trying to complete a project that can send UR5 status to a cloud. Eg, when it is picking something and the program is played. 
Is there some general guide to how I can achieve this? Eg, UR5 dashboard.

Have you looked at the Robotiq Insights product?  That might get you what you want.

You can use Robotiq Insights. It provides a digital representation of your robot's status and enables you to monitor your robot cell from a web application.

With Insights, you will be able to create custom events to show you when the robot is picking something up and you will be able to monitor when the robot is in use or not.
