As stated in this discussion here, yes.
The situation you are talking about isn't related to electromagnetic interference. In your case, you are talking about a magnetic field which isn't quite the same and produces a different impact on the gripper.
So applications with strong magnet shouldn't be considered with our product unless you think of any extra protection as a glove...
Food for thoughts.
I was at a new prospect site and tried to grip a large magnet that they use. When the magnet was close to the gripper and the gripper was commanded to close it would instantly malfunction and the blue LED would rapidly flash. We would have to move the magnet away and reset the gripper for it to work again.
It is interesting to note that the UR also had issues if the magnet was within probably 12 inches from any of the joints and start shaking. We suspect the UR uses magnetic encoders and they were being interfered with.
