On November 7, 2018, Robotiq launches the production of an improved revision of the adaptive grippers. Both the 2F-85 and 2F-140 benefit from many feature updates while offering the same key benefits that made thousands of manufacturers choose them since their launch 6 years ago.
These new Adaptive Grippers are less exposed to factory air, dust and fluids. The finger base has been redesigned to simplify fingertip changeover and ensure a reliable grip. The Grippers’ design is smoother and rounder, with every sharp edge removed. New versions also include accessories holder near the grippers' base. The 2F-85 and 2F-140 are connected to Universal Robots' safety function, which makes them more collaborative than ever.
The patented finger design, enabling both internal and external parallel gripping, as well as a unique encompassing grip mode, is key to making those Grippers the most flexible on the market. This launch adds up to the release of the Hand-E Gripper in June. Manufacturers can now choose the best up-to-date Robotiq Adaptive Gripper for their needs.
The 2F-85 remains the right choice for applications with high pinch-force and heavy objects, while the 2F-140 is the ideal solution to pick objects of almost any size and shapes. Finally, Hand-E is perfect for high-precision tasks and work in harsh industrial environments.
Refer to the product page of the Robotiq Adaptive Grippers or browse to the Grippers' support page for guides and software downloads.
Best Regards,
We have several grippers out in the field using the older design and they have custom fingers made for them. Those fingers will not work on this new design. Do you sell adapters so custom fingers for the old version can be attached? Or can we still get the older design?
Thanks

We bought 2F-85 gripper this month for second machine, and this new version arrived. Finger tip design is totally difference.
Where is 3D CAD data of this new version? I downloaded from support page, but it was old version. We are using custom finger tip with old version for 1st machine. We need also dimensions of new version for 2nd machine.
Best regards,
I saw Documentation Archives page. Sorry for misunderstand.
