The issue happens exclusively with e-Series robots.

- The bug occurs when the vision system URCap is uninstalled without following the exact uninstall procedure.
- The consequence is critical and prevents the robot from booting (black screen at power-up).
- Recovery is possible, but quite complex.

  • With the robot controller ON, insert the USB storage device containing the latest URCap and vision server in the 4-port USB hub.
  • From the teach pendant, tap the triple bar icon in the upper right corner; select Settings.

  • Tap Install and wait for the vision server to be installed.
  • Wait for the vision system to start.

  • *This is a known issue: the popup error is an undesired side effect required for a successful installation of the software release 1.6.3.

Do not unplug the USB storage device or the USB license dongle, even after the installation.
Uninstalling version 1.6.2 of the software inadequately can prevent the robot from booting.

Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
    Best Regards,
