I'm facing problem with detecting Robotiq 2F-85 with UR5. My current setup is:
  • Robot: UR5
  • Software: Polyscope 3.5.2
  • Robotiq Universal Controller with TCP/IP
  • Robotiq Gripper 2F-85
I'm trying to control gripper from robot OS. I installed robotiq software version 1.2.1. When I press button "Scan" nothing happen. I connected gripper to robot via TCP/IP and also via USB. In both cases gripper wasn't detected. However I'm successfully controlling gripper using ROS. Also when I ssh to UR5 I can ping gripper, and when connected via USB it is visible in "lsusb".

I would be grateful for any help

    Hello @gbartyzel, The Robotiq URCap for the gripper is only meant to be used on Modbus RTU over RS485. If your controller is not compatible with our URCap, or if you have an older model of Robotiq gripper (serial number C-1XXX), I recommend you read this section of the instruction manual. Older packages can be found in the archives section of our support site.

    Hi, I have an old model of the robotiq gripper I am trying to use through the polyscope. I am facing the same problem. Could you please help me with this?
