Hi community,

I have previously connected multiple grippers using EtherCAT using KUKA iiwa robots. Usually no problem.

I had this configuration saved, and everything was working well until last two days, the gripper constantly shows the red static color. The EtherCAT box says there is no error and I have changed and connected other similar grippers that immediately display the blue color as soon as I connect them to the same coupler. Strange.

It leads me to believe there is an error with the gripper internally. How could I fix it? Is there anybody out there with an advise for me?

@WalterPintor   Thanks for the picture you sent me.

We determined that this issue was caused by the installation. It is very important to use low-head screws to mount the 2-Finger Gripper Coupling. Otherwise, it might cause unrecoverable damage to the PCB.
