Unfortunately, it is not possible to control the gripper using the toll I/O of a UR. Our gripper use MODBUS RTU protocol and can not be controlled using simple I/O. Also, the power provided by the tool I/O is only 600milliamps while the gripper requires 1 amp.
In my current application I need a lot of movement in the joints 5 and 6.
Because of that the cable often gets caught.
Is it possible to use the tool I/O and an adapter to connect the gripper?
I'm using an UR5 and a Robotiq two finger gripper 140.
