I've tried it again this morning and it works fine on mine.  Do you have an old controller or Polyscope?

The discussion referred to above is no longer on the site. I have just taken over a project and am facing a similar issue. Is there some kind of 'Magic' script that will reset the password or remove the password file so one needs to be regenerated?

Thanks for any advice, and sorry to add to a old discussion.

Hello @AndyBarnes, the discussion referred to in this post had to be deleted for safety reasons. If you need help for recovering a lost password, @Stefan_Stubgaard at UR will most likely be the best one to jump in and provide assistance.

Thanks @David_Levasseur, I completely understand the security concerns behind deleting the discussion. Thanks for the advice!

For people searching for a solution to this:
There is a Magic file for this, you should contact your distributor to help you. As I understand, only they have access to it.
But basically it does what is stated above, removing the hidden file that stores the hashed password.

    1. connect a wired keyboard to the UR
    2. Put [Strg]+[Alt]+[T] togehter for the command window
    3. go to home/ur/ursim-current
    4. delet the hidden dokument .ursafteypass

You can test it in the Simulator, it´s the same way.
