Hi pros,
anyone integrated a UR robot for machine tending to a Mazak CNC? They sell an interface card I believe but this is really expensive just to get a few signals out of the machine. 

@Sebastien check the machine and see if they have any open M Code relays.  They are used for driving external equipment such as coolant pumps, chip feeders, etc.  Sometimes they will have more than they are currently using and then you can use those for inputs to the robot.

Thanks for the tip. I think that the robot interface that they sell is always overkill a bit. Too much signal for what it needed to make this work!
