Hi pros,
we are working on a potential project for a client that would require polishing of a surface. This is something we get a lot in our area. I believe that using the FT300 will be required in most applications because the accuracy at which we want to control the force is too accurate for us to use only the UR force mode. However, during the polishing process we expect noises on our signal mainly du to rotational effect of the tool. The rotating tool will be mounted on the robot and the robot will move along the surface keeping constant force on it. Anyone has worked on a similar application? We could help you beta tests your programs on our clients application and help improve programs!

this is something we will be testing in the next 6 months but this unit is quite expensive. So we were curious to see if we could get similar results will FT300 that would be less expensive to buy.
Check these videos HD [72 Mo] ou SD [6 Mo] from ISYBOT (in french).
Thanks for the tip but this is for an industrial application that I think would require something more robust. By looking at the video, I doubt that the this will be able to run for years in a harsh and dusty environment. Do you have videos of the system running in industrial applications?

The ISYBOT cobot on the videos is the prototype version, in use since 03/2015 (I agree it's not full time).
This prototype was enough to do evaluations on real conditions and convince customers: they ordered the industrial version with some specializations for sanding and polishing that will be available on 2017Q2.
Try direct contact via the ISYBOT web site to have more information or submit your effective needs: the force control and low inertia are other characteristics that could interest you.
