Communication between Cognex vision system and UR Robot

Hi to all of you.

Im just wandering if i can send string data to from cognex to UR?
What things needed to be set up on cognex
Im currently working on a barcode project that uses cognex and ur. which frankly new to me.

No i haven't.
I have read that a TCP/IP connection is capable for sending string data. I just don't know how to set up the cognex in-sight properly.
