We receive from time to time questions about how to update Robotiq grippers firmware. I share in this post the different possibilities as of today.1/ If you have a serial coupling with a 10m cable (ex: UR CB, TM Omron,...), you can:Connect the gripper on a UR robot and update the firmware from the teach pendant (does not work if the gripper is connected to a camera). If the firmware is not up to date a message will be displayed Connect the gripper to your PC using the RS485/USB converter and use the firmware update software available on our support page (https://robotiq.com/support).2/If you have a IO coupling (ex: UR CB, TM Omron) you can:Connect the IO coupling via USB to your PC and Update the firmware using the Robotiq User interface which you can download from our support page (https://robotiq.com/support).3/ If you have a eSerie serial coupling, you can:Connect the gripper on a UR robot and update the firmware from the teach pendant (does not work if the gripper is connected to a camera)
