One of our distributor, Axis New England, just uploaded the full procedure to be able to send an email notification if the robot cell using Universal Robotsstops for any reason.

They are using MOXA's ioLogik and MGate products to make that possible and this is also doable since the UR robot has an open Modbus Dashboard Server.

Check out the video here:

Do you have similar notification systems in your plant or at your customers plant?

AIRGATE is a product on UR+ that connects directly to the robot's controlbox and sends SMS notifications (text messages) such as alarms and alerts to configurable users. In addition, it can be programmed to send notifications when the robot program reaches a certain point or when a variable in the robot program reaches a certain value.

Unfortunately, ARCS 1.0 (AIRGATE Robot Communication Solution 1.0) does not send email, so if that is the preferred method of communication then MOXA's ioLogik and MGate would be the way to go!

@Kaleb_Rodes Do you think a software that uses SMS to trigger an email exist? This would be a way to use the AIRGATE and get email notifications.
