There is a much more simple solution. You can connect the gripper to your PC via USB and power it with an external 24V power supply (2A+ recommended). Then download our PC interface and control your gripper. It is even possible to control it with an XBox controller.

Hello. I have a 2F-85 gripper and a universal controller. We are using it for an exhibit in a museum. Because if this we are not using a robot controller. It's actually a show controller. It is capable of sending Telnet TCP/IP commands and limited modbus. Mostly for reading and setting coils. I am looking for a way to send the gripper two control commands. Just to open and close. It will be triggered by a contact closure of the controller. Is this even possible? Is there a cheap PLC that I could do this with? Forgive my lack of knowledge on automation control. Any help would be great.
