Hello @matthewd92,Am connecting Analog output to other device. when controlling 0 to 10v of analog output, the other device should change from 0 to 100% but it change from 0 to 50%.Mean for 10v only 50% has been changed instead of 100%how to achieve 0 to 100%. Do i need to add any resistance? Note:Device Resistance is 600k ohm.
Did you connect both the Analog output and the corresponding 0v reference to the device? Also, are you sure you’re sending voltage and not amperage? There is a setting on the robot to choose between 0-10V and 4-20mA.
yes i connected both output and ground. and am sending voltage, also i measured it is 10v. but still the other device vary from 0 to 50%.
Are you sure the other device is a 0-10V analog input? If so, sounds like maybe something is wrong with the device. Do you have another analog output device you can check it against?
other device accept 0 to 10v. i have checked with other device (instead of UR robot) to provide analog output 0 to 10v which working fine.Do we need to add any device like resistor? if so where to add either in analog output or analog gnd.
I’ve never needed a resistor to make an analog device work. Just to double check you are using the matching set of AG and AOX? Those are isolated outputs and so you have to use a matching pair, the regular 0V does not work. We’ve made that mistake in the past and it caused issues similar to what you are seeing. Also, UR recommends twisted pair wires, preferably shielded with the shield connected to the ground on the power pins.
Nothing I can think of, may want to reach out to the UR support at the distributor who sold the robot. If you find the answer please post back here so we can all learn.
