Hi,
Is there a way to know the opening of the gripper (the length in mm between the two fingers). It is straightforward to have that info into a urscript, but I struggle in transmitting variable information from urscript to python. I have a 2F-140 gripper on a UR5. I tried by using the python-urx library but this function is not implemented.
Thank you for your help, any clue would be of great value!

Maybe you can try to implement a socket connection to transmit the variable to python. Both Python and URscript have this capacity.
