Hi there,I'm trying to communicate using a RS-485 breakout with the gripper. As I was having little success, I have checked further what was going on. I have realized that the breakout I'm using generates voltage in 0-3v3 range.I was wondering if the gripper will understand it or I need to generate 0-5V level RS-485 signal. Thanks in advance, imuguruza
Hello @imuguruza,The RS485 driver we use is supplied@ 3.3V. It should work with your breakout board. You can use this datasheet for reference.http://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/285455fc.pdf
I have tried with some other chips with little success. Could be due to the fact that the chips I'm using does not have the adequate speed.I was wondering if it's possible changing my 2-Finger Gripper protocol, from RS-485 to RS-232Thanks again, imuguruza
@imuguruza Robotiq does sell an RS485-RS232 converter, the part number is ACC-ADT-RS232-RS485. You can send a buying request to order@robotiq.com.
Hi there,
