2 Finger Gripper - Question about communication logic

Hi there,

I'm trying to communicate using a RS-485 breakout with the gripper.
As I was having little success, I have checked further what was going on. I have realized that the breakout I'm using generates voltage in 0-3v3 range.
I was wondering if the gripper will understand it or I need to generate 0-5V level RS-485 signal.

Hello @imuguruza,

The RS485 driver we use is supplied@ 3.3V. It should work with your breakout board.

You can use this datasheet for reference.

I have tried with some other chips with little success. Could be due to the fact that the chips I'm using does not have the adequate speed.
I was wondering if it's possible changing my 2-Finger Gripper protocol, from RS-485 to RS-232
