Hi

Does anyone have any insight of event not being triggered and if it has been corrected in any software updates.

Just asking because our robot will sometimes not call the event at all and sometimes the event will be delayed a few seconds.

I am sure it is not the variable that triggers the event as this always reaches the correct value.

Thanks in advance.

We have had issues in the past with events not triggering either, we tended to see the issue when we had multiple events being triggered.  We pretty much stopped using them because of this issue and started just relying on threads.  Not sure what the problem was or if it has been resolved in later versions.  What version are you currently running?

@JopsonL Yes, its rather easy, just choose a lower version of the software, just remember to not use any of the new features that come with the newer versions if you want to roll back to older versions.  Also, when you get to 3.7, I believe but could be 3.6, they changed the installation file format some and the older software won't recognize it as a valid installation file.  So make a backup copy of the installation file that you could use should you roll back.

When upgrading you need to install at least one version from each minor release of the software, so to go from 3.4 to 3.6, you will need to install one of the 3.5 versions.

    Hi Matthew,

We are not up to date on the software, running 3.4.0. Have moved the event routine into a thread and initially it does seem to be calling the routine more responsively. We are going to update the robot software after this production run. If there is an issue whilst updating, is there a way of restore the robot to a previous session ?

    Thanks for your help again.
