Hi Etienne,
the customer says that the controller of the gripper has a green blinking led and the modbus screen of the UR shows all the registers green.
Setting the Activate register has no effect, the led stays blinking and the gripper does not move.
The power to the gripper is present.
Can you please help me?
Thank you very much

Hi MemberX,
If the controller LED is blinking green --> communication network detected but not communicating
It should be solid green --> communication established
Is it really blinking ? If yes, it should not be green in the UR I/O mapping.

Hi Etienne,
I confirm you that the LED of the controller was green blinking, the UR shows green registers and the gripper's controller replies to the pings.
Meanwhile we found the problem: by connecting with the USB we found the IP address set to 0.0.0.0, setting it to 192.168.1.11 solved the problem.
But I cannot explain why we had that behaviour.
Sergio
Etienne,
the problem persists!
Every time the controller is turned off, the network settings are lost and when turned on the IP is 0.0.0.0; the customer must enter the correct IP everytime.
Th gripper now is needed by the customer, and they cannot wait anymore, please ship a new controller ASAP, and we will return the old one.
Thank you very much
Hi, I am going to ship replacement with a 5m cable ok?

Hi Etienne,
problem solved. The new controller works.
What about the old one? Scrap?
Thanks
Glad it's working Sergio,
You can keep the older one, the communication module could be used in the future if you have another problem, the controller box itself and the PCB are not worth re-working.
I will probably end-up giving technical formation in Europe this year to our distributors. We could use it at this time.
