Hi Pros,
One of our customer is looking to automate a machine tending application with an Okuma CNC machine.
Okuma has a robot interface package and optional M-Code relay bank, but this machine doesn’t appear to have either.
Anyone has a suggestion on how they could communicate between the robot and the CNC machine?

When there are no more solutions.
One solution can be to place a CO of relay in parallel on the Start Button to start CNC. To know if CNC is finished, could be to place the coil of a relay in the lamp of the panel (many machines have some lamp that indicates that this running). It's a simple solution, but we have done it with some very old machines.
