    Hi there!

I'm Samuel, co-founder and CEO at Robotiq. We created the company to free human hands from repetitive tasks. I believe that DoF is well aligned with this mission : by sharing information, we can stop reinventing the wheel and deploy robots faster. I'm here to connect with our users and partners, learn from them, share our passion and expertise about robots.

    Hello!

I'm Nic and I've arrived at Robotiq in 2011. I am a project manager in R&D, mainly working on the software side of our current and future products. More specifically, I've worked on the integration of our products, on the firmware of our sensors and on hand guiding. I'm here to help our customers and learn the typical pain points that they encounter when deploying robots.

    Bonjour,
I'm Louis-Alexis. I joined Robotiq in 2011 as a mechanical engineer and since 2012 I'm a project manager in R&D. I'm mainly focused on the hardware side of our products and I love to see them in action, as at the DARPA Robotics Challenge. I'll be happy to discuss with you on how our products are working, what is our special sauce. In return, I want to hear about how you use our products, what should we keep, what should we change... it's your opportunity to have a part in the design of our products!

    Hi,

I'm Matt, I'm the COO and cofounder of Hirebotics.  We are bringing a new model into the automation world, basically hiring a robot and paying by the hour in lieu of absorbing all the costs upfront. My responsibilities include not only cell design and integration of UR robots into our customer but also developing the code that runs on a companion system to the robot which gives us real time data from the robot and allows us to have two way communications with it from our iOS app via the cloud. Many companies have moved from onsite software to software in the cloud via SAAS companies. We are developing Robots as a Service for small to mid-size companies.  I've a pretty long (relatively speaking) history with UR having integrated our first couple at a previous employer in 2014. Since then I've purchased 17 of them between the two companies.   I look forward to growing this community where we can learn from and support each other.

Look ok forward to collaborating with all of you!

    Matt

Hi, my name is Markus Roth, owner of the company Roth Technik GmbH located in eastern Switzerland. We are a young, enthusiastic company and passionate about design, technology and innovation. Our background is special machine, special plant and product design, engineering and building. We are active in almost all branches for example food industry, railway, assembly automation, and so on.
We became UR integrator and Robotiq distributor recently. Our reason to set our foot into the cobot market was mainly because I love how easy it is with these products to solve automation tasks in a flexible, economical and future-oriented way. We are robotics newbies but already have done a few nice projects including injection molding automation, a product demonstrator for exhibitions, and soon a CNC mill handling application. And many more will follow. So far being a newbie in a field hasn't hindered us to provide innovative, consistent overall solutions to our customers, and it will be the same for robotics!
looking forward to this community and enriching exchange!

    cheers,
    markus

    Hi everyone,

My name is Laurie, and I'm a Bachelor student at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal. While doing my summer semester, I am working on the Robotiq ROS packages documentation. Previously, as an internship at ÉTS, I worked with ROS and the UR10 to determine the best prehension strategy of the Robotiq C-Model gripper. I also worked with the FT150 to validate the success of a grasp, and the simulation software V-REP.

I still consider myself as a robotic beginner, but I look forward to make a difference in the community, and learn from it.

    Hi all,

This Carlos from Beta Robots, Spain. Got here thanks to our friend Enric from Vicosystem.

We are a start-up company that looks at moving research results into commercial products via functional prototypes (mostly software and hardware integration).

Personally, I've spent most of my time on "trying" to figure out how to grasp any object with state-of-the-art robotic hands, autonomously. I recently worked with the Pisa/IIT SoftHand which is a very nice piece, and I'm eager to see what comes out of the Robotiq grippers (I'm a fan of the 2-fingers model already).

Adaptivity, and at the same time, robustness, makes you change the way you would think an object can be picked up.

    Best regards
