Good day ladies and gentlemen,

we are a group of students and need some help.
We are looking for a gripper which can handle a circuit board leaving us only 6 mm handling space on the circuit board itself.
The customer wants to use a Universal Robot UR10. The industry often uses pneumatics for handling a circuit board but in our case it is impossible because the boards are transported and stored in a sort of tower tray with its own chassis. About 10 mm space from housing to the first circuit board or from board to board.

dimensions: 250 mm x 200 mm x 4 mm 
weight: 300 g


Do you have any ideas or gripper solutions for us?

    Could you simply use 3mm thick fingertips? This would give you a 3mm stroke opening to release the PCB.
    Our gripper allow to precisely open to a given position. You'll be able to open the gripper just enough to release the part.

    Dear Mr. David_Gariepy,

    thank you for your answer. Sure we could use a 3 mm thick fingertip if it can put enough pressure on the pcb in order to handle them?
    Can you relate to specific products?
